"திருக்குறள் வினாடி வினா" (இனி "App") பயன்படுத்தும் போது சேகரிக்கப்படும் தகவலையும், அதை எவ்வாறு பயன்படுத்துகிறோம் என்பதையும் இந்தக் கொள்கை விளக்குகிறது. App-ஐப் பயன்படுத்துவதன் மூலம், இதில் கூறப்பட்டுள்ள நடைமுறைகளை நீங்கள் ஏற்றுக்கொள்கிறீர்கள்.

2. நாம் சேகரிக்கும் தகவல்

• கணக்கு தகவல்: மின்னஞ்சல் முகவரி, பெயர், password (encrypted form-இல் மட்டுமே).
• பயன்பாட்டு தகவல்: வினாடி வினா முடிவுகள், புள்ளிகள், streak எண்ணிக்கை, பிடித்த/கற்றுத்தேர்ந்த குறள்கள், படிக்கப்பட்ட உரைகள், ஒலித்துப் படிக்கும் மதிப்பெண்கள்.

• நீங்கள் "ஒலித்துப் படியுங்கள்" feature-ஐ பயன்படுத்தும்போது மட்டுமே ஒலிப்பதிவு செய்யப்படுகிறது (60 விநாடிகள் வரை).
• பதிவு உங்கள் device-இல் தற்காலிகமாக சேமிக்கப்பட்டு, transcription-க்காக எங்கள் சேவையகத்திற்கு HTTPS மூலம் அனுப்பப்படுகிறது.

3. தகவலை எவ்வாறு பயன்படுத்துகிறோம்

• கணக்கு உருவாக்குதல், login செய்தல்.
• AI மூலம் (Google Gemini API) Tamil வினாக்கள் உருவாக்குதல் — இந்தச் செய்தி வெளியீடுகளில் தனிப்பட்ட பயனர் தகவல் சேர்க்கப்படாது.
• ஒலித்துப் படிக்கும் feature-க்கு OpenAI Whisper API மூலம் தமிழ் ஒலியை உரையாக மாற்றுதல் (transcription). உரையாக மாற்றப்பட்ட பிறகு உச்சரிப்பு துல்லியம் உங்கள் device-இலேயே கணக்கிடப்படுகிறது.
• குறள் ஈடுபாடு (engagement) statistics-ஐ காட்டுதல் — உதாரணமாக "மிகவும் பிடிக்கப்பட்ட குறள்கள்".
• Daily streak reminders மற்றும் notifications அனுப்புதல்.

4. தகவல் பகிர்வு

• ✓ மூன்றாம் தரப்பினருடன் பகிரப்படாது — தனிப்பட்ட தகவல் விற்கப்படாது.
• AI வினா உருவாக்கத்திற்கு Google Gemini API க்கு குறள் வரிகள் மட்டுமே அனுப்பப்படுகின்றன (உங்கள் தனிப்பட்ட தகவல் இல்லை).
• 🎙️ ஒலித்துப் படிக்கும் feature-க்கு உங்கள் தற்காலிக ஒலிக் கோப்பு OpenAI Whisper API-க்கு transcription-க்காக மட்டுமே அனுப்பப்படுகிறது. OpenAI-இன் API kullanım policy-படி இந்த ஒலி training data-வாக பயன்படுத்தப்படாது. OpenAI-க்கு உங்கள் மின்னஞ்சல், பெயர், அல்லது வேறு எந்த personal தகவலும் அனுப்பப்படாது.
• சட்டப்பூர்வ கோரிக்கைகள் இருந்தால் மட்டுமே சட்ட நடைமுறைப்படி பகிர்வோம்.

5. தரவு பாதுகாப்பு

• Passwords bcrypt hashing மூலம் பாதுகாக்கப்படுகின்றன.
• தொடர்பு HTTPS encryption மூலம் நடைபெறுகிறது.
• JWT tokens 7 நாட்களுக்கு செல்லுபடியாகும்.

6. குழந்தைகள் தனியுரிமை (COPPA)

13 வயதுக்கு குறைவான குழந்தைகளிடமிருந்து வேண்டுமென்றே தகவல் சேகரிக்கப்படாது. அத்தகைய தகவல் சேகரிக்கப்பட்டிருந்தால், எங்களைத் தொடர்பு கொள்ளவும் — உடனடியாக நீக்கப்படும்.

7. உங்கள் உரிமைகள்

• கணக்கை எந்த நேரத்திலும் நீக்க கோரலாம் (கீழே உள்ள மின்னஞ்சல் வழியாக).
• உங்கள் தரவை export செய்ய வேண்டுகோள் வைக்கலாம்.
• Notifications-ஐ நிறுத்த — Profile → Notifications-இல் Off ஆக்கவும்.
• 🎙️ ஒலித்துப் படிக்கும் feature-ஐ பயன்படுத்த விரும்பாவிட்டால் — அதை எப்போதும் தவிர்க்கலாம். Microphone permission-ஐ device Settings-இல் எந்த நேரத்திலும் ரத்து செய்யலாம்.

8. Cookies & Tracking

App ✓ ads காட்டாது, ✓ third-party tracking பயன்படுத்தாது, ✓ analytics SDK-கள் பயன்படுத்தாது.

9. கொள்கை மாற்றங்கள்

IN ENGLISH / ஆங்கிலத்தில்

1. Introduction

This policy explains what information "Thirukkural Quiz" (the "App") collects when you use it, and how we use it. By using the App you accept these practices.

2. Information We Collect

• Account info: email address, name, password (stored only in encrypted/hashed form).
• Usage info: quiz results, scores, streak counts, favorited/mastered kurals, urais (commentaries) read, recitation scores.
• Device info: push notification token (only if you enable notifications).
• 🎙️ Audio data (microphone — Recite-a-Kural Premium feature only):
• Audio is recorded only while you actively use the "Recite-a-Kural" feature (up to 60 seconds per attempt).
• The recording is temporarily stored on your device and transmitted over HTTPS to our backend for transcription.
• After transcription completes (within seconds), the audio file is immediately deleted from both our server and your device — it is never retained.
• You must explicitly accept a one-time disclosure prompt the first time you tap the record button before microphone access is requested.
• We do NOT collect: ✗ contacts ✗ photos ✗ location ✗ camera data

3. How We Use Information

• To create and authenticate your account.
• To generate Tamil quiz questions via Google Gemini AI — only kural lines (not your personal data) are sent to Gemini.
• For the Recite-a-Kural feature, to transcribe your Tamil audio to text via the OpenAI Whisper API. Once transcribed, pronunciation accuracy scoring runs locally on your device.
• To compute community engagement stats such as "Top Favorited Kurals".
• To deliver daily streak reminders and notifications.

4. Information Sharing

• ✓ No third-party sharing of personal information. Personal data is never sold.
• For AI quiz generation, only kural text is sent to Google Gemini (no personal data).
• 🎙️ For the Recite-a-Kural feature, your temporary audio recording is sent to the OpenAI Whisper API for transcription only. Per OpenAI's API usage policy, this audio is not used to train their models. We send no email, name, or other personal identifier alongside the audio.
• We will only disclose information when legally required.

5. Data Security

• Passwords are protected with bcrypt hashing.
• All transport uses HTTPS encryption.
• JWT tokens expire after 7 days.
• 🎙️ Audio files are deleted immediately after transcription — they are never persisted on our server. Maximum file size: 2 MB; maximum duration: 60 seconds. Each user is limited to 50 transcription requests per UTC day.

6. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If such data is found, please contact us and we will delete it immediately.

7. Your Rights

• Request account deletion any time via the email below.
• Request data export.
• Disable notifications under Profile → Notifications.
• 🎙️ Decline microphone access at any time — the Recite-a-Kural feature is entirely optional. You can also revoke microphone permission from your device's Settings whenever you wish; the rest of the app continues to work normally.

8. Cookies & Tracking

The App shows ✓ no ads, uses ✓ no third-party tracking, and integrates ✓ no analytics SDKs.

9. Policy Changes

Updates will be announced inside the App and the "Last updated" date will change.
